About the Owners

Brown County Inn has been family-owned and operated since 2015 by Barry and Deborah Herring and their daughter, Courtney Gosser. As the Inn marks 10 years under their ownership, the family reflects on a decade of thoughtful updates, steady growth, and a continued commitment to the community they’ve come to call home. From the beginning, their goal has been to preserve the inn’s history while making improvements that enhance the guest experience. With hands-on involvement in daily operations, they’ve focused on creating a place that feels welcoming, comfortable, and connected to Brown County for both visitors and locals alike.

More than a Hotel

The Brown County Inn isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where time slows down and people reconnect. Families gather around meals, kids run freely across the grounds, and evenings end with music, laughter, and a sense that you’ve truly gotten away. Whether you’re here for a weekend, a wedding, or just passing through, the experience is simple: space to relax, room to breathe, and everything you need in one place.
